About

About Me

I’m Ann, a hobby potter in Sioux Falls, SD. I’m obsessed with clay and color.

I am also (and have always been) a foodie. Encouraged by my friends on my life journey I created a food blog SumptuousSpoonfuls.com. For my food photos, I wanted unique dishes that would really showcase the food, but that proved hard to find.

When my youngest expressed an interest in pottery, I agreed to go along to a pottery class. Little did I know there was a clay person hiding inside me. I was so excited to start creating my own custom dishware! Now I spend most of my free time creating with clay.

My potteries are all hand crafted by me and the glaze is applied with a paintbrush. When you buy one of my pieces, you know it has been hand made with love, not mass produced.

Some Pottery Items I Make

01

Mugs & Drinking Vessels

Everyone needs a good mug! And the perfect cup for your kombucha, cocktail or wine. I make a variety of styles, sizes and colors to hold your beverages.

02

Bowls

Bowls are so essential in the kitchen and so handy for holding things around the house! I make heart bowls, pebble bowls, berry bowls and many other styles.

03

Cats & Creatures

My best sellers are definitely my little ceramic cats! I’ve branched out to make owls, pigs and snails. I made a little fox once. Contemplating fish.

04

Wall Vases

Wall vases are lovely vessels that hang on your wall! While you can use them for fresh flowers, I recommend dried ones.

05

Bells

I needed something to deter the pests in my garden, so I started making bells! With beads that sparkle in the sun, and a little bird on the string, they’re lovely and yes, they really work.

06

Gnomes

A recent favorite, my gnomes are fun and whimsical. Some I make on the wheel, some are hand built. Each one has its own personality.
